I was raised by a single parent for most of my life. I have a step-dad who came along and soars in and out of my life. I have 3 step-siblings and am a (step) aunt to their children. I have moved many, many, many times in my life… living in Alaska, South Carolina, Utah, Washington, California, Virginia, British Columbia, Oregon, North Carolina, and Colorado, often more than once in several states. I followed the Grateful Dead for a short period of my life and still regard it as the best time of my life. It was a period of fun, travel, and zero responsibility.
I was molested by my (not so) great uncle from ages 9-11, I told when I was 12. I started drinking at age 12. I became sexually active (of my own free will) when I was 12. I was a co-dependent mess. I’ve been in and out of therapy. I’ve had several no-end relationships. I was a self-proclaimed doormat. I’m currently involved in the best relationship of my life, over 10 years with the same wonderful man. I have a horrible sex life, as a result of the abuse.
